Beegirl - Alexandra

Postby chief » Wed Mar 08, 2006 5:27 am

Hi all

I am trying to get more definitive concrete characters made, and while sketching just to make an avatar, I liked this version enough to go on inking it somewhat.

Her name is Alexandra, and she is a bee girl. Although small now next to a flower, she is usually much smaller (bee size, duh =P). Anyways, I thought she was cute, and though I will invariably be changing her over time, I like the way she turned out.

Let me know what you think, keep in mind this is a rough that was just inked up a bit, so I am not happy with a lot of things, but I will take cool ideas/suggestions for her.

Very nice! I love it. 8)

The antennas are great, and look exactly like those of a wasp. Everything else looks great, and the detail on the arms is thourough and consistant...must have been hard considering they were threefingered hands.
The one bit of criticism I have is on the wings. They just don't fit in with the rest of the picture being so plain. Other than that, Excellent! 8)

I suck at coloring

Postby chief » Wed Mar 08, 2006 7:57 pm

I will update this once I completely color her.

But any suggestions I will take. I suck at coloring, so any tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Nice, very nice. Your drawing seems to remind me of Miyazaki's art style. The coloring is nice too, and for some odd reason that reminds me of Princess from the Power Puff Girls.
I'm still here, I'm just too small to be seen...

Now here is something new and original! Cool stuff chief!

I love seeing a new take on things...and why not a bee girl?

Thanks for sharing her with us!
