Put some muscle into it

Postby macrokat » Sun Apr 22, 2012 7:41 am

So, one of my problem areas as far as drawing goes, are really big muscle characters and super curvy stuff. But, I decided to give it a try, just for the Hell of it. And since I was going just for the Hell of it I figured 'hey, why not skip right past the normal and realistic stuff and go right for huge' so I did.

Sad part is I'm sure plenty wont consider this huge like I do, but probably just 'a good start' XD

First image is a random wolf anthro giving a car a lift.

Second is Kidofthej's character Kole, showing off and giving Kat a lift.

I think you forgot his neck in the second one...

Good posing, nice detail. Yeah, Kole seems a little neck-light, but Kat doesn't seem to mind. Of course, she's probably evaluating his suitability as a sniper platform... :)

 his neck's not missing, his muscles just swallowed it...

Actually I see what you mean, I could have added a bit more shading and that would have better defined the neck instead of just empty space.
That probably would make it look better and less like a hovering head...

As far as Kat goes, Kole's a good friend. I doubt she'd use him as a platform...

Of course that doesn't mean she absolutely wouldn't... but, you know, she'd look around at least a little first. ;)

A friend will help you move. A real friend will help you move a body. A fantastic friend will stand very still while you brace a rifle that costs more than their car across their head in order to procure the body that you will then help move.
