Abandoned

This is just a short I did before I continue with the other story, it has nothing to do with the other story’s plot.

John Runo wandered through the ruins of an old town after hearing numerous reports of a ghost or a monster of some sort wandering around. Whenever anyone comes near the seemingly deserted town, crying is heard along with loud thuds that scares anyone who wanders by. John approached the town hall while looking around for any traces of civilation, but it seems that everyone just dropped what they were doing and ran. The only forms of life though were some nonanthro cattle and sheep wandering around aimlessly eating grass. He entered the building
“hello? Anyone here?” he called out as he entered. Right as he opened the door all the way, he noticed that the entire back of the building was gone, all there was left was the front where the door was and a couple desks and chairs and scattered debris of papers and other documents and a phone, dead of course. He walked out the back through the large hole and noticed that there was a similar sized in a theatre that was much larger than the town hall. Suddenly John heard the sound of a girl crying and the loud thuds that were rumored to occur near the area.

As John walked closer to the theatre, the crying got louder until it started to hurt his ears, so he had to put on some kitty cat shaped earmuffs as he entered. Right as soon as he walked inside he nearly jumped at the sight of a fox girl, only she was at least 50ft tall, sitting on the stage of the empty theatre with her head in her arms crying. John carefully approached her, but she didn’t seem to notice him, he continued to climb up onto the stage and slowly walked over to right side of her and sat down right next to her leg and looked up wondering what to do next. Carefully, he patted her leg as carefully and gently as he could, right as soon as his hand made contact, she immediately stopped crying and looked down at him in surprise.

“Excuse me,” John said trying to hide his fear, “Are you alright?” he asked while scratching at the side of her leg.
“Your not afraid of me?” The giant vixen said looking down at him nervously. John just looked up at her and nodded.
“You seemed like you were sad, I just wanted to know if you were ok” he answered as she seemed to cheer up a little.
“Thank you for not running away like the others, I’m not mean or evil” she replied, “But no, I’m not alright, me and my father and mother were visiting town hall when suddenly I just started growing, I accidentally killed my mother and sister when I fell on them, and everyone ran away as if I were a monster, including my father. I tried to convince them that I was nice, but they didn’t listen and just kept running.” she continued as tears began to fill her eyes. “I’ve been here for 2 years, feeding off of the cattle and sheep that wander through here.”

John felt sorry for the giant fox girl and began petting her leg.
“I don’t think you’re a monster.” he said quietly to her. “I know how it is to have people scared of you, If I showed you what was under this jacket, you might be frightened.” he said. She looked at him in confusion.
“What? You can show me!” she said nudging him with a finger.
“no, I can’t!” John said in frustration
“Please, I won’t think of you as a monster, as long as you do the same about me.” She smiled
“Fine, but…just don’t touch” he said as he started to unzip his snow jacket, revealing his chest, which was black and burnt, and all covered in scars. He pulled off his gloves next, revealing blackened hands that had sharp claws. The fox reached out with a finger and lightly poked him, but pulled her hand away as her finger felt as if the flesh were melting from her bones.

“This…this is why I wear this coat, this is why I can’t touch people…or feel people.” he sighed as he zipped his jacket up and placed his gloves back on. She just looked at him in shock, and smiled lightly rubbing his head with a finger.
“Don’t worry, I’m not afraid.” she smiled and dropped the little human into her lap.
“Thank you, for showing me that I‘m not the only freak around here.” she Joked and started to pet his head and chest. John smiled and leaned against her belly and scratched at the fur lightly.
“Thanks for not running” she smiled as she curled up around him and they both drifted off to sleep.

Heh, double post.

Anyway, not bad, not bad at all. Wonder where the charred skin came from though. Keep writing

Very Dark...with a good light side at the end. I like it...And personally i think this would make a great series
