Iridium

Postby Moonstalker » Tue Feb 22, 2005 3:51 pm

This is an old sketch that I just recently scanned and showed to Iridium, and I thought I'd share it here as well.

I like the picture a lot. The anotomy is very close to human. I am bad at drawing muscles.

Could you share any hints? If it is only practice and art school, forget about my question - I'll have to leave with my skinny furries. (I attended a math school. Wrong choice.)

Actually, I'm self taught, so no art school for me. I just studied anatomy and practiced a lot, though it would probably be easier to go to school for it. I'll be the first to tell you that learning to draw by trial and error can be very frustrating.

I usually recommend Hogarth for those interested in muscular anatomy, as his drawings clearly define the shapes and forms of all the body's muscles. Jack Hamm's books are very nice as well, not to mention the incomparable Andrew Loomis.

Yeah, you do have a real way with muscle.
And with muzzles.
And eyes.

Love your style, man. 8)

And with breasts. And with hinting at nipples. Hey, I'm a superficial guy...sue me.

On another note, wow Moonstalker. Just wow. That is really awesome.
