So, hi! I've got a problem.
I think I'm getting weirder. u.u
To be specific, I was always one of those not-normal girls. You know the type: there would always be a group of nerdy kids, and there would always be the token girl of the crew. So I'm used to having my interests being shared by a small group of people and to those interests being considered extremely weird by everyone else. You know, roleplaying, anime, being an Internet Bi (you know, the girls or guys that claim they're bi, but have never had the experience to prove it? ^.^)
So, one day, I figure out I've got interests that my friends don't have. I guess everyone kind of has a fetish, right? Aside from the usual fangirlish ones (omg bishie! squee~) I like furries. I mean, not enough to go to cons or wear fursuits, but enough to like the idea, to be able to say 'hey, that anthro fox is hot', and to be okay with the idea of being a furry. You know, a casual admirer.
But then I kind of stumbled into macrophilia, and realized my 'problem' went a lot deeper. c_c
So, I'm kind of new to actually participating in this kind of stuff. I've always been an observer. But heck, just telling someone I like this stuff is kind of liberating, you know? From now on you guys are going to be my nerd crew so I don't feel alone. x.x |

YAY! Another girl joins the zoo! Wheeee!  
But seriously, it is always nice to see girls joining the fray... I remember the third Macrophile SIG at Anthrocon where I stood up and yelled "Why am I the ONLY REAL GIRL in Macrophilia!?!" That was the year a certain tiger had invited a certain deer to join us loons for the annual dinner... and I was so happy! 
It's one thing to be 'used to being' the lone female in a male social group... it's quite another to know that you're not the ONLY female that has interests in those areas!
I suppose the next thing you should look into is what kind of furry you are personally.... obviously you're on the giant-side of things.   |
