I cornered this little guy when a pile of books fell in his path of escape. He couldn't have been more than thirteen years old. Looking back on it I'm surprised that sewing needle didn't end up through my hand doing this. Anyway, after putting piles of books around him to keep him from running I left the room and came back with a piece of meat from my soup. After giving me a good look over he snatched it and ran, most likely back to his family, but before he entered a large hole in the wall he paused and looked back. I could tell he knew I wouldn't chase after him. He vanished into the darkness of the hole. They're warming up to me, at least I hope they are

Any critiques are appreciated

Very good work sir, it's a very good image.

I'm also fond of the story to go with it, it's an extra mile I really enjoy. I'm also a fan of 'day-in-the-life-of' sort of scenarios, so that's a plus too.

Keep at it, and again good work.

I like this very much. It has a very definite Borrowers feel to it. The story elements are a nice touch.

Exquisite detail work. Like the sepia tone. Love the characters. Particularly the little guy's facial expression. :)
