Raze for Deathseal

Postby macrokat » Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:19 am

Kept forgetting to post these, couple pics. of Deathseal's character Raze,
if it were colored, hair and scales would be black.
Haven't had any time to color lately though, and I'd rather not kill my markers.

So, once again Deathseal1390's dragon character Raze in both normal and macro size.

Nobody likes marker death, but the details are still pretty decent.

What you can try is shading with a pencil. It'll take some tweaking on the scan, but you'll get the idea across and keep your markers intact.

I actually tried doing that just yesterday, but I've gotta say, my scanner is terrible with pencil, don't know what it is, Marker, color pencil, colors come out excellent, but standard pencil, my scanner hates it. That's why I normally just do the linework and say, "I'll do the rest in photoshop..."

But then I almost never do...

Thanks for the suggestion, and taking a look.

Hey you got something on your nose *brushes over it*
oh it's just your nose x3

I know that feeling, my scanner hates pencils too, which makes Lineart fixing in Gimp a ugly job.

(gasp) My nose, you found it, of course it would be hiding right in front of the eyes, where you'd least expect it... idk...

Actually I did try that last night, I'm doing a Rhoxy drawing now, and her character has allot of black too, but of course, the scanner did a terrible job with just the pencil which is fine, I like inked linework better anyway..
