Lets play with Perspective!

Postby macrokat » Fri Jan 29, 2010 2:26 am

So perspective is a pretty important thing for macro artists, and though I'm starting to get into it, I really haven't had much practice.
Well, I did a bit of practicing at work today, and here's a bunch of sketches that came out of it.
Enjoy!

Looks good, though it took me a while to figure out that was a finger in the topmost middle drawing.

If she didn't want Mac to look down her dress maybe she shouldn't have taped him to the roof or whatever she's done. ;D

Thanks, though I don't think it really qualifies as a tutorial since there's no real instruction going on, this is me just playing around, though hopefully it may give others an idea of how to start perspective with their own style.

Nice comment, I hadn't even thought of it that way, that would be pretty funny though to see Mac crawling around on the ceiling using suction cups or something trying to get a view he never can on his own. When I drew that frame I just throught I was drawing an angle you'd never see of Tia, then I started thinking about the site I post these pictures on and realized, Tia's not that big of a macro, at 60', there are plenty of macro's on this site that make her look small, so maybe that view's not entirely uncommon, for some lucky people.

Yes, Hands... always a problem, too detailed and they kinda look hideous, or in this case could look too manly, too little detail and everyone's wearing gloves for no good rason. Always something to work on getting better with.
