Sorry for the delay! Fall break and i dont write when theres no school

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

“Back for more trouble are ya?” DC whispered as she carefully tip-toed over Shady. from Victors position on the floor it looked like she was stepping over a furry mountain.
“Hey it’s not what it looks like...” Victor backed away defensively from quickly approaching giant feline, his steps were diminutive compared to DC’s long strides.
“Hold on a second…” DC suddenly stopped a good twenty-five meters (from Victor’s perspective) away from her target, “you are not the same as the other one…”
“Pardon?” Victor lowered his blade slightly.
“You smell different, sound different and look a little different too.” DC squatted from her position and brought her head near Victor, who stood frozen in his spot. It sort of brought him back to those good old days when he was living with Elizabeth.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. “ Victor hoisted the shaft on his shoulder and swiped his nose with his other hand.
“…Sam? Is that you?” DC gasped.
“I am not Sam!” Victor growled, “My name is Victor, Victor Chrag… That’ll be Mr. Chrag to you, you tom boyish spendthrift!”
“All right Mr. Chrag,” DC chuckled as silently as she could as she did not want to wake up Shady, “could you tell me why you smell like Sam, sound like Sam and act like Sam? I mean, he was just grilling us on how we wasted his money.”
“I don’t know who you are talking about,” Victor lied, “the fact that I remind you of someone you know is a mere coincidence.”
“Those voices we heard the other day in Sam’s stomach,” DC watched Victor with her light reflective eyes, making them look like a pair of giant floating marbles, “that was you wasn’t it?”
Victor remained silent.
“It all makes sense now…” DC walked around Victor on all fours like a predator stalking its prey, “why he was so cold, why he never ate at lunch… what’s going on Sam?”
“Heh… you wouldn’t understand even if I explained it to you for three days straight.” Victor chuckled.
“What makes you so sure?” DC stopped in front of him and sat in squatting position.
“Because it took me, and every other neophyte, three days to get it straight…” Victor raised three fingers, “The most stressful three days of my life may I add.”
“What?” DC tilted her head.
“Nothing, nothing...” Victor swatted the air, “Just let me do what I need to do otherwise I am going to need a new roof.”
“Why? Is Shady going to keep growing?”
“Yes she is if I don't stop it right now.” Victor nodded.
“Fine...” DC moved towards Victor, “I'll trust you, cause for some odd reason,” DC laid her head flat on the ground inches from Victor and grinned, he could feel the air flowing into her nostrils, “Shady trusts you.”
“Well, uhh... thanks I suppose...” Victor leaned backwards a little out of fear of getting sucked towards DC's nose, “Well then, I'll get started right away.” Victor teleported on to Shady's stomach in a hurry, something about DC made him uncomfortable. Victor looked back at DC just in time to see her spin around in shock.
“Hey! How did you do that?” DC gasped, “Thats cool.”
“Yeah thanks,” Victor sighed, “as much as I hate to ask, I sort of do need your help with this.”
“Oh..?” DC smiled coyly and padded her way over to Victor without making a single sound, “What do you need?”
“My initial plan was to give her a little nightmare so she would stay asleep during the whole process-“
“Give her a nightmare?” DC squinted at Victor in confusion.
“Silence!” Victor snapped, “I’m not finished yet!”
“Ok…” DC leaned back a little as Shady shifted a little in her sleep, Victor nearly lost his balance and made a mental note to be a little quieter from now on.
“As I was saying,” Victor continued in a hushed whisper, “I was going to send her into a nightmare so she doesn’t wake up till I’m done, but if I do that then she will definitely move around a lot.
“So what do you want me to do?” DC raised an eyebrow.
“Just hold her,” Victor shrugged, “hold her tight and don’t let go.”
“Hey come on!” DC leaned over Victor and stared at him, “In case you haven’t noticed she is bigger than me right now, I am not going to be much use holding her down… is this nightmare thing going to be that bad?”
“Well do your best, I need to do this,” Victor replied after frantically shushing DC, “and don’t worry about the nightmare, its all just a dream after all” Victor crossed his arms.
“All right, all right…” DC sighed, “I’ll do my best.”
“Good,” Victor clapped his hands together, “let’s get started already, I am sick of looking up at you, it hurts my neck.”
“he he, ok…” DC giggled.
“Did you just giggle?” Victor rubbed the back of his neck.
“Uh no I didn’t,” DC cleared her throat, “I would never do anything like that…”
“heh, yeah…” Victor pulled his scythe off his back, “you wouldn’t.”
“What are you doing with that?” DC sniffed at Victor’s scythe, Victor froze momentarily when DC's face invaded his personal space.
“Just shut up and watch.” Victor pulled back his scythe and waved DC's massive head away.

Victor did this a few times before, it is a completely different experience when some annoying giant cat watches your every move with surgical precision. Victor could not help but look up a few times at those unrelenting curious eyes when he was cutting fur. Her head moved even closer when cast nightmare on Shady, DC watched all the luminescent seals and diagrams he created with his magic in awe. Of course, Victor could not have her dawdling about too much…

“Stop messing around,” Victor growled as the ground he was standing on shook violently, Shady was already feeling the effects of the nightmare, “hold her down!”
“R-right.” DC shook her head as if snapping out of a trance and took hold of Shady.
“All right, let’s do this.” Victor steadied himself and pulled out a ceremonial dagger from his sleeve, Shady was still convulsing but it was somewhat manageable thanks to DC.
“N-no… please… don’t…” Shady muttered in her sleep.
“Hang in there Shady!” DC half shrieked, half yelled as she desperately tired to keep Shady steady.

Victor plunged the dagger into Shady’s flesh. Normally a small scratch on the surface of the skin would suffice, but this was an extraordinary subject. Plus Victor need to make sure the dagger did not move too much or he would be unable to carve the seal correctly, his subject was having the equivalent of an epileptic seizure after all; Besides, it was not like he would hurt her anyway. The actual sealing process took a few hours, all Victor needed to do was copy the diagram Death made onto Shady's skin; the whole time DC was vainly trying to calm Shady with her words. Victor would have told her how futile it was, but allowed the useless speech to continue because it seemed to have a calming effect DC.

“All right,” Victor glided off Shady and skidded on the floor, “you can let her go now.”
“Phew…” DC flopped on her back out of breath, “you have no idea how hard that was.”
“You did a good job,” Victor glanced back at Shady who was shivering a little and hugging Sam like a doll, a significant improvement from the earth shaking mess she was earlier, “It should start working soon.”
“What did you do to her anyway?” DC sat up.
“Just applied a temporary seal to stop the growth until I figure out a way to control it.” Victor wiped his brow and allowed a few moments of silence so DC could catch her breath.
“She is going to notice you shaved her you know.” DC finally noted.
“It’s just a little spot, she won’t find it.” Victor chuckled.
“Wanna bet?” DC challenged.
“Bah, it doesn’t matter!” Victor grumbled, “It serves her right anyway… force me to sleep with you will you..?”

Before DC could open that smart, back talking mouth of hers, a faint ‘Vwoo’ sound came from Shady, or that little shaved spot on her left side more specifically. Shady gradually started deflating to her original size, she was still shivering a little and Sam the lifeless puppet was still in her embrace, she automatically adjusted her arms to fit Sam.

“Well that’s that.” Victor nodded approvingly, “now off to bed with you.” Victor tried to shoo away the eighty foot cat.
“He he…” DC giggled and stood up, keeping her eyes on the little hooded thing by her feet that was waving its arms at her.
“Ah!” Victor gasped, “There! You did it again!”
“No I didn’t…” DC cleared her throat, “you must have heard me incorrectly.”
“Right…” Victor eyed DC suspiciously, “just go to sleep, you need your rest.”
“I will,” DC squatted near Victor and looked at him seriously, Victor noticed a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, “but I am going to have to force you to sleep with me this time, I’ve got a lot of questions I need to ask you.”
“I am quite sure you do,” Victor smiled as the ground underneath him shuddered like a liquid surface, “but let’s leave that for another time.”

Victor sank through the floor as if it were quicksand and all Shady did was watch in awe again. She had no choice but to hold her questions for another time… if there was another time that is.

Sorry for the lateness, reformatted my computer and all (dont worry, my work was not lost)

so here, take it

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

“DC…DC…” a hushed voice pestered DC’s ears and a persistent nudging irritated her shoulder, “DC… wake up!”
“… Five more minutes mom…” DC groaned and shrugged off the annoying prods before realizing what she said, causing her to instantly snap awake, “Ah!” DC turned 180 and stared directly into the intruder’s innocent looking face, “What did you hear?”
“N-nothing…” The intruder (more commonly known as Shady) whimpered, “j-just…”
“Just what?” DC snapped.
“Don’t you notice anything different about me?” Shady posed like a marionette and frowned.
“No, you’re the same old Shady.” DC furiously looked her up and down.
“Exactly!” Shady broke her pose, “I’m not big anymore!”
“Oh yeah…” DC slapped her own forehead, “that too.”
“Silly…” Shady giggled happily, “I’m so glad that’s over.”
“Yeah…” DC sighed and pulled back the covers. After what happened last night, DC retreated back to the main bedroom where she lay in bed until fatigue overtook her. It was a lot to wrap her head around and that kept her awake at night, “where’s Sam?” DC finally asked.
“I don’t know, he wasn’t there when I woke up.” Shady shrugged, “You know how he is, always looking for the first opportunity to escape every time we make him do something he doesn’t like. Don’t worry, he’ll be back.”
“Yeah… he’ll be back.” DC repeated slowly as she swiveled her legs over the side of the bed. DC sighed deeply and rested her head on her palm, “I was hoping all this was a dream…”
“Yeah me too,” Shady seated herself next to DC on the bed, “But it’s all ok now, things are finally getting back to normal.”
“I’m back!” Sam’s voice exploded through the apartment, “I got you all some food!”
“Oh yay! Snacks!” Shady cheered, “What did you get us?”
“Here,” Sam entered the room and offered a bag to Shady, “take a look at it yourself.”

Shady immediately ejected from her seat and plunged her muzzle into the plastic bag without even bothering to take it out of Sam’s hand. Normally Sam would scold this sort of behavior, but he was distracted by DC and that smug grin of hers. There was something ominous about that momentary glimmer in her eyes as well… how will things turn out after last night?

“Oh I’m sorry,” Shady finally lifted her head out of the bag and looked at DC, “did you want some?”
“Of course I do you dolt!” DC jokingly nudged Shady with her foot, “Leave some for me ok?”
“Ok.” Shady nodded and quickly returned her head into the bag.
“And some more good news for you people,” Sam added, “the police are not looking for you any more… due to lack of evidence.”
“That’s good news,” DC rose, “we can go out now?”
“I suppose so, yes.” Sam frowned, “Try not to get in trouble with the police again, ok?”
“Don’t worry about it, we’ll be good.” DC placed one paw on Sam’s shoulder and looked him in the eye with a grin.

After years of working with the government, Victor knew this was not good news. No one simply crosses out suspects without interrogating them first, especially if the crime is as severe as murder. They want the girls to lead them to someone, get that person out in the open and capture the lot of them in one secluded setting. Victor did himself before on a couple of occasions; the people in question usually disappeared for good.

Maybe Victor was just thinking too hard, the chances of things being exactly the same as they are on Earth were pretty slim. Besides, he had other things to worry about, like that giant cat who knows things she shouldn’t.

“Aiee!” Shady screeched, “I’ve got a little bald spot in my fur!”

And yes, Victor should probably worry about that too…
- - - -

Earlier…

“Any suspects?” Roger squatted near one of the bodies and examined it quickly. The murdered police officers were left in the very same spot they ceased to live, right outside the hospital doors.
“According to the witnesses and few other sources,” Agent one began, “those two were chasing a couple of girls suspected to have kidnapped an unconscious male.”
“On their way out however,” Agent two continued, “one of the females became noticeably larger and when your two unfortunate colleagues gave chase, some thick purple cloud burst from the floor.”
“Dead before the smoke even cleared.” Agent one shook his head.
“Hold on, I think I heard you incorrectly, what do you mean by ‘noticeably larger’?” Roger stood up and straightened his trousers, “Did she get fatter?”
“No, she got taller,” Agent two responded, “when she came out her head was scraping across the ceiling.”
“You know, you guys really have to revise the way you relay information to me.” Roger waved his palm around in a circle, “If something seems odd or strange to you make sure to pause or change your tone of voice or something, I nearly missed that little ‘irrelevant’ tid-bit of information.”
“You are forgetting who you are talking to Mr. Headshaw,” Agent one crossed his arms, “nothing is ‘odd’ or ‘strange’ in our trade.”
“Oh for the love of-“ Roger growled, “forget it, just forget it.”
“Don’t get too infuriated,” Agent two noticed Roger’s disposition, “it’s hard to miss on the surveillance recording.”
“There was a surveillance recording? Roger gasped, “why didn’t you tell me?”
“Right this way Mr. Headshaw…” Agent one grabbed Roger by the arm and lead him to the receptionists desk before he could complain any further, the agents were never was fond of the loquacious types.

All the security equipment was kept in a locked room behind the receptionist’s desk. Only the operations manager knew the code to the door, and he was always around the hospital doing one thing or another. Since a hospital won’t stop accepting patients because of a couple of deaths (a common occurrence in this setting), the manager was out somewhere in the building doing his job and had to be called on the intercom system.

The old squirrel was not pleased about being disturbed from his work again, but complied quickly to ‘get it over with’ because he had no time for the ‘senseless tish-tosh’ the police were investigating. The room was completely void save for a lone 6 foot cylinder sitting in the middle of the gray room like a lonely island.

The metallic cylinder had a blue, glowing ring at the top and a similar ring at the bottom. It was around ten centimeters in diameter and was bolted to the floor so it could not be moved. Roger heard about these new security terminals that were being placed in all government run facilities because his building received one as well. The privately developed machines were quite controversial because all the feed was being sent to the person in charge of security as well as two other secret locations in someplace no one has ever heard of. Roger may have clue about the first location, Xen where he was officially asked to join this interesting investigation, but the second one…

“Right, I’ll just open this thing here and take a look…” Roger carefully padded over to the cylinder and touched the top ring while the two agents stood behind and watched. The top half of the cylinder detached from the other half and hovered a foot or two higher in the air. Then the floating part split again vertically and the two halves shot away from each other till they were about a meter and a half apart, a hologram interface sprang up between them.

“Nice…” Roger marveled as he used his thumb and index finger to interact with the holographic display, “I’ve got to get me one of these.”
“Yes…” Agent one sighed, “Just remember the murders happened at around negative two thirty hours, do hurry up.”

Roger sifted through all the files until he reached the one he was looking for, a new file was made every hour so Roger had to choose the file marked “-3:00 25/15/69” and opened it. The video showed a relatively normal day at the hospital; sick and injured people going in and out with their various ailments seeking some form of relief. Roger skipped through till he reached the fifteen minute mark where he saw a couple of girls walk in with one of them carrying an unconscious person over her shoulder.
“So the receptionist called the police for these two?” Roger asked without removing his gaze from the hologram.
“Yes, those are the two.” Agent two confirmed.
“The receptionist must be a tad… paranoid eh?” Roger chuckled, the commissioner told him a few times about calls like these. ‘It never fails’ the commissioner would always say, ‘At least once a day some paranoid nutter calls me about some ‘suspicious’ person in their neighborhood or what not, half the time it’s a garbage man or some lost kid. If I wasn’t legally bound to respond I’d tell them to bugger off and annoy someone else for a change.’
“Reminiscing some good times there Mr. Headshaw?” Agent one interrupted Rogers little day dream, “we do have an alien to catch and all, but by all means take your time-“
“All right, right!” Roger snarled as he continued the video, “Jerk…”

Those two girls disappeared beyond the left side of the screen, so Roger opened up another window and tracked the girl’s movements through the halls, watching every little detail carefully. Roger saw the whole thing from the little ‘prankbot’ to the black holes in time and space, it was enough to make him utter ‘whoa’.

“We have their identities and last known locations,” Agent one began, “we will hunt them down and eliminate-“
“Whoa whoa,” Roger turned from the hologram and faced the two agents behind him, “hold it for a second, they are not the aliens-“
“They still had contact with the foreign creature,” Agent two half-whispered, it was obvious no one outside should hear them talking, “they must be eliminated as well.”
“But you can’t do that!” Roger yelled.
“Why not…?” Agent one raised an eyebrow.
“Because…” Roger thought hard for a moment, “Because we need to interrogate them first.”
“Interrogate them?” both Agents whispered in unison, “I am almost certain the information they have is of no use to us.” Agent two continued.
“But you are not certain,” Roger smiled, “so let’s just check first, no harm in doing that is there?”
“I suppose you have a point…” Agent one nodded, “but don’t think you’re saving anyone’s life, we still need to-“
“Yes, I know…” Roger closed his eyes and nodded, “I know…”

To comment and say something bad I can't find at the moment, or to just be silent like the last couple chapters hmm...screw it got to compliment.

Nice to see what I earlier thought was a plot hole explained, and Victor instantly recognizing that the called off search was likely bullshit. The Agents really don't mess around with alien contact do they?

Personally, I happen to agree with the plot hole was nicely filled in this chapter. What I found to be surprising, in a good way was the fact that the Agents seem to be taking everything from the big book of 'how to do cover-ups' >_> whaa, it's a real book I KNOW IT IS X3
[so yes, i am agreeing with Kusanagi on this one So sue me :p]
'
but besides that really well worked chapter! KEEP GOING! OR or...Or no cookies for you

Oh come one now... why do you think I make holes? I dig them to fill them of course, but then you may ask... why dig them in the first place?

To watch you stumble into them of course :p

According to my wayward sense of logic,
Previous post = plot hole = bad = silence

since bad = complaint

then silence = complaint

I WANT MORE SILENCE! >:C

If a guy named 'Rattlehead' is reading this, post a comment, i promise not to be mad.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

“At least tell me how it happened!” Shady groaned as she continued rubbing that ‘unnoticeable’ little bald spot on her side.
“Well,” DC smiled and looked at Sam, “you can always ask Sam…”
“Sam…?” Shady turned her attention to the inwardly fuming-mad raccoon.
“Yeah Sam,” DC chimed in, “what happened?”
“I…I…” Sam stuttered, “It was an accident.”
“What did you do?” Shady physically grabbed Sam and shook him with sudden rage, “WHAT DID YOU DO?”
“Nothing!” Sam choked, “it was just a small cut!”
“Why you…” Shady growled as she pressed her muzzle against Sam’s, “you…”
“Calm down…” Sam kept a straight face despite being shaken around like an old washing machine, “It’s just a small spot…”
“Grr…” Shady dropped Sam with a huff, he stumbled a bit until he regained his balance, “sometimes I wonder why I even put up with you…”
“Cause your both friends?” DC commented with her mouth full of food, she took the opportunity of Shady’s emotional outburst to nab a few bites.
“Yeah, I guess…” Shady grunted, “Just stop it Sam, please.”
“Yeah, whatever…” Sam straightened his fur and shot DC a dirty look, she just exacerbated Sam’s anger by smiling innocently and shrugging.

Victor sat the puppet down in the corner while Shady complained to DC about the lack of fur in a small region on her side. DC was an annoying one, that’s for sure, however the situation with the police is something that can’t be ignored. Victor would go out and investigate it on his own, but he had to make sure the girls stayed inside until he was sure it was clear, they are under the false pretense that ‘all’s well’ after all. Leaving the apartment may prove to be a potentially fatal mistake for those two incompetent females. Victor needed someone on the outside, someone he could trust, someone like-
“Death…” Victor chuckled after disconnecting the mana string that sent his voice outside.
“How did you know I was here?” Death grunted, “I made sure not to knock this time.”
“It’s just a feeling I get… a very sinister one of course,” Victor pulled the mana string off his right eye so he could see inside, Victor made sure to close the puppet’s left eye before he did this, having them both open proved to be a nauseating experience, “may ask what is behind the pleasure of this visit?”
“If you really must know,” Death clacked his bony hands together, “that would be boredom mostly, maybe a little…” Death pondered for a second, “no… no, just boredom.”
“For a second there I thought you were worried about me,” Victor smiled, “but that obviously can’t be true, right?”
“Of course not!” Death nodded, “I have no use for such trivial and silly emotions... Aah, but Sadly the boredom still finds its way deep into my bones…”
“Ah well, enough of that…” Victor shook his head, “It’s sort of a good thing that you are here,” Victor began, “in an ironic way of course” he quickly added.
“Go on…” Death approached Victor, intrigued.
“There is something I need to check out ‘on the outside’ if you know what I mean, and I need someone to-“
“Keep this puppet alive while you go out looking at whatever it is you need to look at?” Death interrupted.
“Sort of yes,” Victor rolled his open eye, “Just remember to keep those two girls inside the house, ok?”
“I dislike taking orders from my subordinates, but it sounds easy enough,” Death replied, “anything else I should know?”
“Yes, the cat knows about… the whole puppet thing, so try to act like me so she won’t notice. Other than that-“
“So someone found out…” Death sighed.
“Yes…” Victor bit his lip, “it was good run, 2 whole years… but it was bound to happen eventually.”
“I am aware of that,” Death crossed his arms, “you did a fine job… for a meat-sack.”
“Yeah… thanks,” Victor muttered, “Let’s just switch all ready, the more time I waste the worse the situation becomes.”
“What? Is the problem with the… how say… ‘police’?” Death clacked his teeth.
“Yes, I’m just fixing the problem you started after all,” Victor unplugged the rest of the strings, “now let’s get you in here.”

* * * *

“Honestly…” Shady irritably rubbed the tiny bald spot, “what was he thinking?”
“I am sure he had you in high interest.” DC chuckled.
“C’mon DC!” Shady stopped rubbing to look at DC, “This is serious!”
“It’s still sort of funny,” DC crumpled up the empty bag of food and carelessly discarded it behind her, “where is Sam anyway?”
“I’d rather not know,” Shady crossed her arms, “’cause if I did, I’d kill him.”
“Easy there maiden of death,” DC chuckled, “just go find him and talk or something.”
“Yeah, I’ll talk to him all right.” Shady stood up.
“Just don’t- AUGH!” DC suddenly screamed and pointed at something behind shady.
“What’s wrong?” Shady stared at DC in confusion till she turned around and saw who just entered the room, “EEK!”
“What?” Sam looked at Shady as he casually entered the room and took a position by the door. Sam looked like he was shocked by a thousand bolts, his fur was up on end, he toted an impossibly wide grin and his eyes were wide open. Sam’s face looked almost like a skeleton’s; moreover he had a familiar sinister air about him.
“Are you… all right?” Shady asked worriedly, “did you stick your tail in an electrical socket again?”
“I’m fine.” Sam’s voice was different, it was a lot deeper and more resonant, “And I have no clue what this ‘electrical socket’ thing is and I highly doubt it even exists, so stop making things up you silly, silly fuzzy baby.”
“What? What on earth are you saying?” DC shot up from her reclining position and stared at Sam as if inspecting him.
“Don’t you know it’s not nice to stare at people like that? So rude…” Sam stared back at DC.
“What happened to you?” Shady asked.
“Nothing, what makes you think something happened?” Sam replied.
“You look…” Shady began, but could not bring herself to continue.
“I look..?” Sam repeated.
“Different.” DC furrowed her brow and frowned, “Sam? Could you come with me to the other room for a sec?”
“Of course, after you.” Sam followed DC into another room, Shady knew that DC would take care of it, so she did not bother to follow.

* * * *

Unlike Earth, the best place to move around unnoticed was not in the sky, which was currently obscured by the flurry of flying traffic, but by ground where it is so deserted that you could probably find more activity in a desert. The only people that ever came down here were illegal substance addicts, people with broken vehicles and the occasional maintenance guy. There was nothing down here but rusted metal after all.

The city is under such heavy ‘protection’ that no crime goes unseen and arrests are made within two days at most, unfortunate news for Shady and DC but that also means that illegal substance addicts are far and few between. Also anyone experiencing a ‘vehicle failure’ usually don’t survive the experience, especially if it leads them down this far. As far as maintenance goes… things don’t break down too often do they now?

All Victor needed to do was look around for something connected to the police, be it an AAV or otherwise. He did not have to go far because there were two ‘undercover’ vehicles parked right outside his apartment complex. A parked vehicle in this place meant that it was set at non-power consuming, hovering mode leveled with the place the occupants were going to. Of course this height was far above ground level, making Victor’s short teleport to ground somewhat unhelpful.

Life is full of mishaps, you just have to have the patience to overlook them. Victor sighed as he flew up to the underside of one of the vehicles, it just sucks when things are a lot easier than you anticipate. It was a really pathetic disguise, two AAVs of the exact same pricey model and color parked side by side. The windows were not even heavily tinted and you could probably see inside if you looked hard enough. These guys were either not very smart or pretty soft.

Victor phased his head through back of one AAVs. There were a couple of well dressed people in there along with ragged looking fellow. So they were here after all… but what were they waiting for? Why didn’t they charge in already? Whatever their plan was, Victor was not going to be around to witness it because it most likely was not in his best interest.

Without a second thought, Victor teleported away back to his newly furnished abode. He materialized inside of his trusty puppet where he saw Death doing something he shouldn’t…
“-No, you listen here you great ball of fuzz,” Death yelled, “you are in no position to give me a lecture about how I’m supposed to look like-“
“What’s going on?” Victor questioned, for the lord of death, he most certainly was quite a pain.
“Ah Victor, you’ve returned.” Death welcomed without removing the line that transmitted his voice outside.
“You’re supposed to disconnect-“Victor gasped.
“No, I’m not putting him on,” Death growled, “what do you want with Victor anyway?”
“What on Earth is going on out there?” Victor clenched his teeth.
“Miss blatantly-disrespect-our-elders here thought she could sit me in this room alone so she could reprimand me like a child.” Death scoffed.
“You’re alone with DC? Good, good…” Victor turned and phased through the puppet, he poked his head outside, where he immediately snatched up by a furry paw before his eyes even adjusted to the light.
“Ha!” a loud voice boomed over Victors head, “I finally got you!”
“What..?” Victor squinted and looked up a DC’s billboard-sized face.
“No wait…” DC frowned, “you’re Victor…”
“Yes…” Victor adjusted himself a little in DC’s paw.
“Pah!” DC hissed, “I wanted to get the other guy.”
“I’m not just ‘another guy’” Sam/ Death mumbled.
“Right…” DC turned her attention to the puppet, Victor looked that way too and was shocked at his appearance, “You are ‘the master of all death’…”
“Yes,” Sam nodded angrily, “and don’t you forget it.”
“If you had half a brain-“ DC started.
“I do have half a brain as a matter of factly, I keep it in a jar in my study.” Sam nodded.
“His name is Death,” Victor chuckled, “always was a barrel of laughs.”
“That’s a funny name.” DC grinned as she looked back at her prize.
“Why you-“ Sam began.
“No time for that now,” Victor pulled his arms free from DC’s paw, “we’ve got to go.”
