Heh, being one of a scientific mindset I'm gonna crunch some numbers for my decision.
Let's say the average fur/human size is 6'. Given a 150' macro we have a size difference of a factor of 25.
Compared to a 6' average fur/human, a micro of that same factor would measure a little less than 3", which is perfect to fit into the palm of your hand, smush under your foot, or do whatever else you want to the critter. So my vote is for the 100'-200' range on an overall basis.
I think most of us can agree that interaction is the key factor when determining a size. I feel anything bigger than that factor of 25 times the other's size looses that interaction aspect and becomes boring, since I'm not the rampaging kind of macro-sizeshifting dragon. Though interacting with objects can also bump up the size factor, but I'm thinking too much now. X3
Now, of course, if the other creature were to grow bigger and outsize you, that just gives you all the more reason to get even bigger! :3 For me, at least.
