Yes, I've always found past planet size starts to get boring. Nothing to really play with.
Back from the abyss, a dark beast rises.
Its scales as black as earthen coal.
Its eyes as green as emeralds bright
Wand'ring without heart or soul

Yes, I'd say it is possible to be too big. But it really depends on what sort of meaningful interaction with other characters (or cities, or planets, etc) you want to be able to do. And, of course, given the cyclical nature of reality, once you pass a certain degree of 'big' you become 'small' (or reality shifts to a different scale around you). :)
Sometimes I wrestle with my demons... and sometimes we just snuggle.

The only thing I draw well is a blank.

For many of the same reasons as others here I have to say, yes there is a limit.

To eventually wear and burst out of the whole universe like a cheap T-shirt? :)

I'm down with that... But I just think it would get less fun than destroying cities and what not...

Yes, there is a size limit.

BUT, you'd be surprised at how creative people can get.

I remember one drawing I saw on another site of a galactic sized male who strung some planets together to use as anal beads, lol.
