And very, very relaxing.
Sometimes I wrestle with my demons... and sometimes we just snuggle.

The only thing I draw well is a blank.

Is that another one of those ".... or so I'm told" things? :P

I think its safe to say the answer would be yes, being atop a purring feline would feel good for a few reasons...

People like massage chairs. Purring creates a low rumbling not in similar to the vibrations some massage chairs and stuff create. Not to mention natural body heat, and fur, so huge vibrating heated recliner with a fur blanket.

Does that sound comfy? For most the answer will probably be yes.

Its also just cute. You understand (usually) the intention behind it and know what it means, so, like Kat, first impression is to think how cute and sweet the moment is. Though looking for other body language for signs like licking lips, is a good idea just to reaffirm your assumption for why they're purring. ;)

Lastly, it may heal you.
There is some evidence to support that the low frequency created by purring actually promotes healing of damaged body parts.

Why Do Cats Purr?: http://youtu.be/7KowU4tPi7Q

But mostly I'll just stick with the first one because huge fur lined heated massage chair should really be all you need to hear. :)

Some cats will purr when nervous too ... and a nervous purr does sound a bit different (among other behavior/expression queues pointing to nervousness)> I've considered using this aspect myself ... though don't actually have a feline character that tends to be nervous/embarrassed.

Hmm, would be rather fitting for quite a few others around here, though. (especially with all those situations Terry has been put in :P )

But yeah, the contented/happy purr, the begging/pleading purr, and then the excited/predatory/hunting/stalking/playing range of purrs. (hunting/stalking usually has the archetypal feline chatter in there at some point too, usually right before pouncing)

TendoTwo: Sadly, yes, I have not had a chance to test this theory. :)

Macrokat: Huge fur lined heated massage chair... with boobs. Sounds win-win to me...

I think I missed a pic in there. But the ones with darling Emily are really cute. I do not know who Mike is but he is a cute little guy too. Your artwork and stories continue to delight me. :)
