Thighs are an area I'm not 100% certain on yet myself. I'm learning but I don't feel I've mastered it yet. So I'm not sure I could give you much advice beyond googling for pictures of bodybuilders (So you can see the leg musculature) or searching for muscle charts.

However for what little I can say, is to try start drawing the leg as a stick or a thin rectangle first, and then fill it out a little. It makes the leg look rounded, but also allows you to prevent it from looking to fat.

Here is a neat thing I found on Deviant Art.
It's by Cedarseed.
For those looking for some facial expression inspiration, here you go!

This is a pretty talented artist, so I'd also recommend looking at the rest of their things too! n_n

I found this chart that had been made by the El Goonish Shive webcomic artist Dan Shive that is something of a little guide of how to judge difference in sizes. It's done by measuring in percentages and heads tall, and is focused on shrinking, although he says that it could also potentially be used for growing.

EGS FTW! Woo!
