Thighs are an area I'm not 100% certain on yet myself. I'm learning but I don't feel I've mastered it yet. So I'm not sure I could give you much advice beyond googling for pictures of bodybuilders (So you can see the leg musculature) or searching for muscle charts.
However for what little I can say, is to try start drawing the leg as a stick or a thin rectangle first, and then fill it out a little. It makes the leg look rounded, but also allows you to prevent it from looking to fat.
