What's your dream macro movie?

Postby Xerxes » Sat Jan 05, 2008 4:19 pm

As a screenwriter/director/film professional, I'm constantly looking for ideas. I think at least once in my life I want to make a movie about big things.

Thus, I ask you peeps: Do you have a story about a macro creature that you dream of seeing on screen?
I think signatures are a waste of time, so I won't use one.

Cuteness and shynes is always a plus.
Could be any female furry that grows huge and is not really comfortable with it.

Hmm...from an artistic standpoint, a tough question. I say than anything can be appropriate given the situation and medium. But as for a general macrothing theme?

Let's go with the small thing continuously getting bigger. Man finds dragon egg, or abandoned crittercub in the woods, or something to that affect and raises it, while the thing keeps on getting bigger and bigger. Maybe some antagonists, the man getting the squeeze from criminals, and the critter goes on a rampage to avenge and save the guy who raised it.

one that is indifferent to the pleas of its prey, but can communicate with them.

plays with its food, maybe for a while and luring them into a false sense of security.

Ooooooh! Now THAT sounds pretty intriguing.

Have you familiarized yourself with the macro story section on this board?

As a writer, you'll find great content there.

I do need to read some of that, though you do always have to worry about how mainstream culture will accept something. The macro community can love a story, but a movie won't get funding unless it has mass appeal outside of us.
