Content Rules

Postby bennie » Mon Jul 31, 2006 6:24 am

For those of you who remember back to the proto-forums days, Macrophile's bulletin boards have operated under the following rules which are appiled to all users and admins of the board alike:

The Rules:

1. Your presence here is at the sufferance of the Macro community and the administration of this board.

Yes. I know our list of rules has only one rule, but any other possible rule I could come up with after that point is a common sense deduction of Rule #1 for that particular instance.

So there you go. A rule set of 1.

For folks who don't want to bother to look up "suffereance" and parse that phrase, the shorthand version of the rule is to just "be good to and with each other."

Anyway.

This is the off-topic discussion area. Generally anything that isn't Macro should be discussed in this area and anything Macro probably shouldn't be discussed here. These aren't rigid distictions, just a general guideline so things stay orderly.

Only two topics seem to constantly cascade out of control and into flame wars:

- Religion
- Politics

This board is here mostly for macro and secondarily for some chatting and community stuff. Flame wars don't further either aspect, generally ruin a sense of community, and also waste a lot of bandwidth.

No one wants to read a flame-riddled board.

Consequently these two topics are not allowed. Please do not post them. I am sure you have great opinions on them. You're welcome to express them in other forums, is all.

So got that? If you want to post here, #1 - be good. And #2 - No religion or politics.

Thanks!

Then maybe it's time to get a new internet character/joke to run into the ground like you did with this one perchance?

I made a mistake on Collateral Damage

Postby Kitsune2275 » Mon Feb 19, 2007 5:49 pm

I Posted a Topic with the subject POLITICS ON POLITICS.

This was my mistake that will not be repeated.

I felt that this was a good joke, because I had once roam the halls of policy.

I did not want to start a flame war, but it was my mistake in posting it, and it happen.

This Topic will be closed, in three days, to allow for any replies.
